The second integration training session took place at the Veteran Hub!

The second integration training session became a crucial step toward the social adaptation of veterans and support for the children of fallen heroes.

The training brought together veterans who have returned to civilian life and children who lost their parents defending Ukraine’s independence. The event aimed to create a space for open communication, sharing experiences, and supporting one another throughout the recovery process.

The session began with discussions on topics that matter most to participants in their daily lives. They had the opportunity to share their feelings, talk about their challenges, and express their hopes for the future, fostering an atmosphere of support and understanding.

Interactive exercises conducted by experienced trainers promoted teamwork and improved communication among participants. Through practical tasks, participants worked on strengthening psychological resilience and building trust—key elements of their social adaptation.

Such events create a support system that enables veterans and their families to feel part of a larger community that stands by them in challenging times. These training sessions are vital for strengthening social ties, improving mental health, and enhancing mutual support among participants.

The project “Support for Veterans and Their Families” (Veteran Hub) is implemented under the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). CFLI is a program designed to support small but highly effective projects in countries eligible for international technical assistance from the Government of Canada, in areas aligned with the priority activities of Global Affairs Canada.
