#CFLI Another integration training was held at the Veterans Hub

#CFLI The fourth integration session, organised with the support of the Canadian Foundation for Local Initiatives (CFLI), was held at the Veterans Hub. This event continued to work with veterans and their families to help them adapt to civilian life and recover psychologically.
The participants of the session were veterans who have returned to civilian life and children who lost their parents in the fight for Ukraine’s independence. During the event, the participants had the opportunity not only to share their experiences but also to receive support from like-minded people who had gone through similar difficulties.

Discussion of important topics of adaptation, social integration and mutual support became the basis for further work. Participants openly shared their experiences and the difficulties they face after returning to peaceful life. This helped create an atmosphere of trust, which is an important step in the process of psychological recovery.

The session also addressed practical aspects of adaptation: how to support each other, how to effectively interact with communities and organisations, and how to work on their own recovery. Participants shared their own stories of adaptation and received new tools to overcome difficulties.
Support and mutual assistance is what makes these trainings so important. They help veterans and their families feel part of a large community where they can find support and understanding in the most difficult times.
We are continuing our work and are happy to invite everyone to join the next trainings!

The project ‘Support for Veterans and Their Families (acronym – Veterans Hub)’ is being implemented under the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI). The CFLI is a programme designed to support small but high-impact projects in countries eligible for international technical assistance from the Government of Canada in areas that align with Global Affairs Canada’s priority areas of focus.
